Bio Fleur Isabelle Delacour-Weasley Age 29 Birthday: August 17, 1977 Family Background Fleur and her sister Gabrielle were raised by their father and their mother, Apolline. She first noticed her future husband, Bill Weasley, while she was a competitor in the Triwizard Tournament. Much to the dismay of Mrs.Weasley, they became engaged after she took a job at Gringotts to "improve her English." They were married the day the Ministry fell to Death Eaters. House: attended Beauxbatons Academy Bloodline: As Pureblooded as possible whilst being one-fourth Veela Political Views: Fleur's maternal grandparents were murdered by Grindelwald, so Fleur was raised with a belief that all people, wizards and Muggles alike, are created different but equal. Appearance Visual Representation: Emilie de Ravin Description: Renowned for her beauty, Fleur is about 5'10 and has light blue eyes and white-blonde hair. Her body is still toned and fit, even after the birth of her daughter. Psychology and Personality Sexuality: "Excusez-moi, but 'ave you seen my 'usband?" *smirk* Strengths and Weaknesses: Fleur is extremely loyal to those she loves (as displayed after Greyback's attack on Bill). She is extremely intelligent and is tri-lingual in French, English and German. She is very quick on her feet and loves an intellectual challenge. She can be somewhat standoffish and reserved when she first meets people. Many have described her as "cold." However, it's just a facade she uses to protect herself. She is also very blunt and says things sometimes without realizing that it could be interpreted as insulting. Habits\Quirks: Fleur reverts to speaking French when she gets flustered or angry (especially when she doesn't want the other person to know what she's saying). She looks at her reflection every time she passes a mirror or even a window. Likes\Dislikes: Likes Bill, Claire, traveling, wine, French food, fashion, a good book and classical music. Dislikes Celestina Warbeck, Yorkshire pudding, knock-off designer clothing, people who pretend to be stupid to get attention, and men who flock to her just because she's part-Veela. Lifestyle: Occupation: Fashion designer. Her line, Delacour, is internationally successful with stores in London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles. Financial Status: Very, very comfortable Residence: Shell Cottage in Cornwall History from student days at Hogwarts to the present time: After finishing first in her class at Beauxbatons, Fleur immediately moved to London in order to improve her English. Her first job was, of course, at Gringotts, where she worked part-time in the foreign investments office. She hated her job, and was quite close to moving back to Paris when she caught the eye of one Bill Weasley. After dating a year, he proposed. After their wedding and the demise of Voldemort, Fleur realized she did not want to continue a career in the finance world. Since she had always been interested in fashion, she started designing dress robes in the kitchen of Shell Cottage. She then showed those designs to Madam Malkin, who was so taken with her creativity that she commissioned an entire line for the fall season. With the success from her first creative endeavor, Fleur opened up a shop in Diagon Alley with her best friend, Marie-Christine, as her only employ. That was eight years ago. Since then, Delacour has become an internationally recognized haute couture line and has stores all over the world, plus a runway show in Paris each fall in spring. Eighteen months ago, Fleur gave birth to her and Bill's first child, a daughter named Claire. Her little princess is growing like a weed, Bill's back in England at Hogwarts, and her line is a success. She can hardly wait to see what else life has in store for her. |
